Areas of Responsibility
With support from the team, lead a portfolio of client engagements; understand the strategic direction, business model and goals of each client to create and align their marketing, public relations and business development strategies
Work hand-in-hand with our investment banking and private equity clients on developing a brand strategy that effectively portrays their key areas of differentiation, goals and culture
Key responsibilities include:
Project Management on Multiple Client Engagements: Manage assignments for multiple clients efficiently and effectively, ensuring quality of work and timely delivery of assignments. Leverage Asana, Slack, Zoom and email to communicate with internal team and clients to ensure client work is delivered on-time and meets or exceeds our high-quality standards
Public Relations: Develop client-specific PR strategies, identifying key media relationships, and work to orchestrate a mutually beneficial rapport for future stories and speaking opportunities; work closely with clients to create transaction-related communications plans, including drafting press releases, key messaging, Q&A, email outreach and social media lead-ins (primarily LinkedIn)
Content Marketing: Lead content marketing campaigns: work closely with client to plan forward-looking editorial calendar, draft and/or assist with edits to create social media posts, email marketing campaigns, and thought-leadership pieces. When needed, pitch thought leadership pieces to media outlets for publication. Direct MiddleM’s network of graphic designers to apply client branding to create eye-catching materials
Brand Research: Conduct brand research projects where the results and discussions thereafter will define the client’s new brand strategy; Develop questions for and assist in conducting primary research interviews; Develop, distribute and analyze internal and external surveys; Complete competitive marketing and positioning analysis
Brand Positioning & Design: Develop key positioning statements and messaging based on that research to help differentiate clients in the market; work with our network of graphic designers to bring brands to life through the presentation of a series of brand design ideas; Assist in writing brand messaging
Brand Strategy: Construct a marketing and digital strategy that will meet clients’ goals and objectives through various initiatives including PR, social media, paid media, editorial/thought leadership, business development strategies, automated email marketing campaigns, conference research, video content strategy and creation and other general marketing services
Brand Implementation: Manage the production of all design assets across all outward facing touchpoints such as clients’ websites, social media platforms, marketing collateral, business cards and other items
Engage with MiddleM Creative’s senior leadership on the strategic direction of the firm, offering ideas on how best to service our clients
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Bachelor’s degree; Masters in Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree preferred
5-7+ years (or fewer considered with MBA) of marketing, project management, PR and branding experience with demonstrable, stellar project management skills and client communication
Relevant industry experience in corporate banking, private equity, investment banking and/or marketing/PR agency experience is a plus, however, our primary experience considerations are project management excellence and relevant marketing and PR workstreams
Proven experience leading and managing complex projects involving multiple team members, complex deliverables and condensed timelines
Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills
Professional and a confident, consultative approach to client-facing interactions
Strong analytical, creative and strategic thinking skills
Proficient in leveraging Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word to organize, analyze and present various data and marketing/PR deliverables; Experience in Canva a plus
Growth mindset and desire to learn; hunger to proactively develop innovative new strategies and tactics
Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced and dynamic client ecosystem with the willingness to be flexible to meet dynamic client needs
Strong work ethic, high integrity, belief in transparency and good sense of humor
Experience with CRMs (Salesforce and DealCloud specifically are a plus) and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, MailChimp, and Constant Contact specifically are a plus)
Experience managing projects through Asana, Slack or similar tools a plus
Compensation + Benefits
Salary range of $85-$105k, commensurate with experience
Significant bonus potential based on personal and firm performance
Full-time position, fully-remote with structured schedule (i.e. standing client and team calls weekly, varying calls as-needed throughout the day for client communication, focused full-time work hours M-F)
Potential for in-person co-working depending on location and desire
Quarterly in-person offsites to facilitate teamwork and communication
